SUMMARY:22nd Annual MABioN Biosafety Hybrid Symposium
DESCRIPTION:The 22nd Annual MABioN Biosafety Hybrid Symposium is co-hosted by Northwestern University and University of Chicago and will be held August 3-5\, 2026\, in Chicago\, IL. \n  \nCall for abstracts! The goal is to present a wide array of information that would be of interest to our membership. Biosafety presentations at ABSA affiliate meetings may be eligible for CM points. You may speak in-person or remotely. You do not need to be a member of MABioN or ABSA to present at the symposium. \n\nGo to 22nd Annual MABioN Biosafety Hybrid Symposium for symposium details\, to submit an abstract\, and register for the event. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Warwick Allerton hotel link to reserve your hotel room. \n\nImportant Dates: \n\nAbstract submission deadline – May 29\, 2026\n*Early bird registration ends June 19\, 2026: $75 for pre-symposium; $200 for symposium\nReserved hotel block expires on June 19\, 2026\n*Standard registration: $100 for pre-symposium; $250 for symposium registration\nIn-person registration ends July 20\, 2026\nVirtual registration ends July 27\, 2026\n\n\n*MABioN Members will receive $25 discount code by email for both pre-symposium and the symposium. \n\nThe MABioN Annual Symposium is a two-day conference for biosafety professionals and others involved in biosafety. Speakers and attendees have the option to participate in person or virtually. \nAn optional half-day pre-symposium workshop on Protein Safety will be held on Monday morning. Register separately for the Monday morning workshop\, which includes a break and lunch. \nThe Symposium opens at 1pm on Monday and concludes after lunch on Wednesday. Presentations on various topics related to biosafety are planned for Monday afternoon\, all day Tuesday\, and Wednesday morning. Facility tours will take place Wednesday morning after the talks.
